Craniofacial Center

In the Craniofacial Center we treat disorders of the mouth, jaw and face and of the skull (cranium). Besides the usual range of general oral and maxillofacial surgery, our Center specializes particularly in surgery for correction of malformations of the facial and craniofacial region: jaw deformities (orthognathic surgery); cleft lip and palate; craniofacial syndromes (for example, Apert, Crouzon and Pierre Robin syndromes) and also implantology with and without jaw reconstruction. This corrective surgery is personally performed by Prof. U. Joos or Prof. U. Meyer, both of whom have many years of experience and great expertise in these areas of surgery

Inpatient and outpatient treatment of complex disorders is provided by our interdisciplinary team (maxillofacial surgery, oral surgery, orthodontics, speech therapy).
